Exercise 31: Creating all the “Movie Clip/Scenes” for the Web Site
Now that you have created the “main” scene, its navbar linking system and the ActionScripting to make it work, all you have to do is duplicate both the “main” movie clip and the “main” scene several times. I’ve named them simply Link1 to Link7; these could have more meaningful names to match your theme.
Follow these steps:
In the Library panel, click once on the “main” Movie Clip to select it. In the Library Properties choose duplicate. Rename the copy to Link1, continue until you have Movie Clips for each Link.
To make the Web site, double-click each of the new Movie Clips and edit them to your liking.
In each Movie Clip change the text, images, etc. to make each clip different from one another.
In the Scene panel, click once on main to select it. Click the duplicate scene icon at the bottom.
Rename each Scene appropriately to your site or just
duplicate the naming style I’ve used if it’s for practice.
In the Link 2 Scene, drag a copy of the link2 Movie Clip onto the movie clip layer.
Repeat step 6 for each of the Movie Clip links until each holds its own Movie Clip.
Test the Movie as a whole and you should be able to navigation the site quite easily.
If everything goes as planned, publish your movie.
